Is anyone looking for a quick getaway before school starts? Do you have small children? If you have time, you should check out Greenbrier state park. We were lucky to check out this serene, picturesque, peaceful spot. Only an hour from Leesburg, a quick ride to Greenbrier will not disappoint. They not only have hiking trails, and small boat access, but a beautiful beach entry into a lake. Even though they have been in the process of dredging the lake, there is 3 ft of water for your little ones to enjoy. We couldn’t get my son out of the water, as he enjoyed wading and splashing. There were other families there with small children, and a lifeguard. I highly recommend this park for a beautiful day out with your family. There are clean bathrooms and park rangers nearby as well. Be sure to stop at one of the many farm stands on your way home for a fabulous treat!
Hello fellow Leesburg moms! I am so honored and happy to be here! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Melissa Furio, and I am 35 years old. I moved to Loudoun County in 2016 with husband Joe, and our son Cameron. We are from Long Island New York. We rented in Ashburn for almost two years, and bought a townhome in Leesburg this May of 2018. I am a proud stay at home mom to my soon to be 3 year old son Cameron Luke. It’s a rewarding and challenging job all in one. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am a former preschool teacher. I’m looking forward to sharing our stories, lives, and all our adventures in Virginia. We feel so lucky and blessed this has become our new home. Melissa
